The kids and I packed up the van and took a road trip to my Aunt and Uncle's this week! We had a blast. We went swimming with our clothes on, (me included rescuing Zach), had a surprise party for Annie(where sippy cups outnumbered beer cans!), played at Katie's beach,( got sand in every crack and corner) ,took lots of boat rides on the "party" boat, fished( Jake caught, Mags, Inge, Verlander... and Brendan caught, PETE!) Jake tubed,(according to Brendan, "Like a Rock Star!") stayed up late,( watching the Olympics of course) drank chocolate milk with every meal( well the kids at least), saw Katie's DARLING prego tummy!....basically we were spoiled! I am sure it felt like a vacation to Ron too...no wife, no kids, no messes, no diapers....We loved our visit and are very happy our family loves us even though we are a bit more high maintenance than the average house guests!(Sorry about the poop on the carpet again!)
