Today I dropped Jake off at Camp Geneva. The DOWN POUR of rain, thunder and lightening did not distract Jake one bit from his mission of jumping right in! This day could not come fast enough for Jake. He went last year to the week long day camp there and LOVED every minute of it. This year he is old enough( I know ,hard to believe isn't it) to do a three day overnight camp. Camp Geneva is a Christian Camp on the shores of Lake Michigan. It is a camp that Ron went to as a child and loved. My niece and nephew have gone as well. Not only did they all have a ball there , but each grew in their love for Christ at the camp.

The camp has changed a bit since Ron went. Trust me Jake is not roughing it, the place is amazing! Jake's cabin is close to Lake Michigan's shore and has a great view! His bunk mate is one of his best buddies, Ryan. His other bestest buddies, Garret and Landen are in the same cabin just the room next door! I can't wait to hear about all he did. He plans to go Polar-bearing, a daily early morning dip in Lake Michigan, archery, swimming in the AWESOME pool, Bible study, capture the flag, arts and crafts, and camp fires are just a few things on the to do list! It would be fun if people left a comment on the blog if they went to Camp Geneva or any other summer camp..Tell me about your experience! I am sure you have some great stories to tell!
