Ron and I took Jake and his friend, Landen, to Chicago for the weekend! The triplets went to Hotel Grandma and Grandpa! We had a blast! The boys were too fun!! We let the boys decide what to do for the most part! We stayed at a great hotel on Michigan Ave, went to ESPN Zone, the boys went to the top of the Hancock (I shopped!), we ate Fondue at the Melting Pot,went to Nike Town, swam in the pool, stayed up LATE and went to a Sox game. Long story as to how we got the tickets..but we were given four free ticket to the Sox game on Sunday. We are ,in general, Cubs fans but free tickets and a free parking pass...sign us up! We had no idea where the tickets would be and man were we SHOCKED!!! We sat right by the White Sox dugout. Let's just say before the game our seats were a hot spot for family photos and once the game started we had to show proof of our tickets and if we left we needed to show our tickets to get down the aisle again! We could hear the players talking in the dugout, see their expressions, hear Ozzie Guillen's famous temper, we felt like we were part of the team! . It was AMAZING! To top it all off..the boys got A.J. Pierzynski's autograph. It was really their day as they were the last two autographs he signed! It was an experience that the boys will always remember and one few kids get in their lifetime! It was unbelievable to be able to share it with 2 boys ( and one big boy) that love the game of baseball so much!! What a weekend!
