Leaving for ballet and tumbling class
Do you see the personalities coming out in this picture. This is right before they walked in the class. Maddie is bursting with excitement, Abby is unsure and serious!
You would think Abby would have asked that question, but this time it was Maddie. The long awaited, highly anticipated ,dance class night finally arrived for the girls! They loved it! Maddie was ready to go and jumped right in. She was very deliberate and graceful with her moves. She watched her teacher very carefully and wanted to do everything just right. I can see some brown nose traits in her. I also had to laugh..all the little girls were in pink, besides Maddie. I am still not sure why she picked the ballet outfit she did. I love it, but it is kinda edgy! Abby went willingly, but with a serious face. She did a really good job, but became more distracted by things. For example, when they all got to wear fairy wings, Abby went in her own twirly fairy world until she was roped back in. When it came time for the tumbling part of the class, Abby did her somersaults like an old pro. She has always been really good at gross motor skills. The girls were in heaven! The teacher was SO good. She had the girls using their imaginations, brought in props to keep their attention, catered to the girly girl inside all of them, yet taught them new skills. It was a busy night shuffling our kids here and there but to see the delight in their eyes made it all worth it for us!
