When you marry into my husband's family it is for better ,for worse ,and you gotta love football! This week was Homecoming for the Hawkeyes. Right after school the Homecoming Parade goes right by our house. The triplets and I met Jake at the bus stop and dashed down to the end of our neighborhood to catch the big parade. I am not even sure if the kids saw any floats go by as they were so busy racing to get candy. Zach loved the band and the big trucks. Abby and Maddie were all about the candy. Unfortunately our parade viewing location was LOADED with kids and the triplets just weren't fast enough. It doesn't help when their own brother steals candy right out from under them too! But when they did get their hands in there Maddie would pick the candy up and say, "I got it!" with much pride in her voice. After the parade we went to our good friends the Kleinheksel's for a party and then we all went to the big game. Our team won! That makes it even more fun!
Saturday was Jake's big game. They lost, but they held their own pretty well ,and had some great plays! The triplets did a great job of being spectators. Suckers, juice and a variety of favorite snacks helps!

Heading off to the Kleinheksel's's house!

Going into the BIG GAME!

Maddie ,the cheerleader, saying, GO HAWKEYES after every play!

Our star player, Jake Man!

The best part of the game, the end...when the triplets FINALLY get to see Daddy.

Look carefully in Ron's left hand. The girls ran up to Ron when the game was over with their babies and handed them to Daddy. So here is tough guy Ron , football in one hand, pink and purple baby dolls in the other in the middle of the football field!. The best part, is look at his assistant Coach, Robert, looking at Ron's hand. Oh how being a Dad changes a man! I can just read Robert's mind.."What in the world????"

Who is that blonde lady?? Oh its you....you're so rarely pictured!
Ron looks even MORE cool carrying the dollies! Kind of like a man who can carry his wife's purse without embarassment!
