Swim Lessons

Do you see Maddie and Zach and the "other" friend!

The triplets started swim lessons last Saturday at our middle school pool. The first lesson was an assessment and today they were placed in groups. The kids were excited to go and get in the water. When they called them into groups the teacher said, "Abby, Maddie and Zach", and a few other names. Then they realized it was the wrong Abby. Our Abby was on a different group from Zach and Maddie. My first thought, "This is not going to go so well." Maddie and Zach went off hand in hand with their group and Abby stayed behind. First thing her fingers went in her mouth and she had that look like," I need my deat deat!" But she went with her group, no tears. They all did really well and have been talking about it all day. They are ready to go back.

Lessons are a lot of work and an expense. But, we have seen huge benefits! They are separating from us much easier, making friends and following the rules of school! It builds my confidence that they are truly ready for preschool next year. They are all signed up after a mere two hour wait in line! The pressure to get three in a popular school was HUGE..but we secured our spots! WHEW!
