So this is what happens when you have a boy in a triplet mix of girls. He goes along with the princess play because he wants to be included. However, he really does not enjoy it. On this day he agreed to wear the crown and even sat on his Princess Pillow ( pillow from the couch)along side the girls on their pillows. The crown lasted about one minute, maybe less, and his Princess pillow throne turned into a pillow fight about one second later.
I find myself saying to Zach, "No wrestling in the bathtub", Don't jump off that", "Be gentle ,that's too rough", "Slow down buddy", " That's not for throwing", "Get off your sister", "No tackling"...He is so ALL boy and he is stuck between two girly girls! Thank goodness for Jake!
Zach's latest news is he started swim lessons with Daddy. The girls were sad not to swim too. But we just can't do three at a time. Zach can be a bit of a wild card when it comes to predicting what he will like and what he won't. We knew he loved to swim , we just were not so sure about a group lesson. He proved us wrong. He Loved it. The teacher even called him the fish of the group. I am sure you won't be shocked by this statement..The boy has no fear, he dives, jumps...
The girls latest is they are starting to potty train. Grandma is taking the reigns on this one. She is a potty training pro. Kinda like the Horse Whisperer of Potty training. She just has a way. They are doing pretty well and have an interest. That's a start. They love wearing Princess pull ups. My favorite line was when Abby just started training. She walked up to me with a sad, sad, look. She said, "Oh no Mommy, I pooped my Princess!" Funny!
Jake is officially done with indoor soccer and basketball. We get a little sports rest before baseball begins, his favorite sports of all!
Ron and I spent a romantic dinner out on Valentine's Day , with the kids, at Steak and Shake. I guess that's what happens, huh! Our next big adventure comes next weekend. We are going away for a night with the kids and Jake's friend Landen, to a hotel. We plan on swimming, playing and celebrating Ron's birthday! Jake is SUPER excited especially since he gets to bring Landen. He loves that kid! So do we!
